Charitable Giving

Dear Friends of Caspari and Montessori and little children everywhere,

Thank you for your generous response to our request for scholarship and general fund donations. Because of your help, we have continued to provide financial help to students who request it and we have been able to expand our work beyond Montana.

Just as in Livingston, Bozeman, Billings and Helena, little children in Boise, Idaho are now singing the precious Caspari songs as they skip out to play after a morning of fulfilling work in their classrooms—I am loving and kind, I am loving and kind, I am loving and kind all the time!

And adults who have joined our classes have become more mindful of their own thoughts, words and actions; and they have become more sensitive to the needs of the young lives they seek to serve. They have experienced deeply the Montessori message that is personally transforming. Each one agrees: I will never be the same!

Our graduates are serving children and families in established schools and they are opening their own schools. They are becoming community leaders and are mentoring aspiring Montessorians who are interning in their classrooms. They are, one and all, a blessing to the world.

And our donors are making dreams come true!

You are helping us to fulfill our mission of providing exceptional Montessori education that is readily available to all children. You are helping bring unity through education to yet another community. Thank you.

This expansion has not been easy or inexpensive. Our tuition costs must increase in order to pay for the travel, accreditation, and other expenses required in having a branch campus. Increased tuition makes it even more difficult for qualified aspiring Montessori educators to participate in our courses. Having partial tuition scholarships available to offer has been most appreciated in the past and will be absolutely necessary for many this year and in the future.

Will you please contribute again to the effort? Your tax-deductible donation is needed now as our board is planning for the best use of the opportunities ahead in 2009. A gift now will help us get through the winter with ongoing expenses as we anticipate the busy teaching months of spring/summer/fall.

CMI has a champion donor who included this beautiful tribute to Dr. Caspari with her generous donation this year:
“God’s dream for us can manifest through one person sharing that joyous vision; which, person by person crescendos into reality; and then quietly benefits the many. Whether understood in part or in totality, each one individually receives a portion of God’s treasure trove; and new dreams are engendered like a sprinkling of magical stardust.”

In Boise, our champ is CMI graduate Melissa Telford who generously invited us to use her school for classes during the summer; and continues to provide space for practice sessions and workshops with interns this winter.

And our lovely assistant, Isabel Marlowe, has given untold volunteer hours this year in our office. As a Montessori educator with many years experience, she has a keen eye to the work and also knows how to keep the work moving forward during the times I have been away.

Other CMI champions are donating $10, $50, $100, $500 and more each year to help us do the day to day work. Because of their shared vision and material support of CMI, we have been able to take more action, take on more work and accomplish more this year than ever before. In addition to the certification training and introductory classes, we are increasingly receiving requests to provide staff training for various schools in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.

CMI celebrated its 10th anniversary in July of 2008. Ten years of constantly teaching the message of how to support our little children in their development to adulthood. Ten years of classes; ten years of graduations in the spring; ten years of developing a brand that represents Montessori at its best for the children of today and tomorrow.

Without you as friends, students and donors, the message would only be air—wispy ideas that sound good but do nothing. The Montessori message is more than ideas. It is concrete action, work, accomplishment! And it is education through joy.

May the music of joyous children learning and growing in an atmosphere of loving kindness fill your heart as, together, we make it a reality for all. Thank you.

Love is the key,
