Dear Friend of the Child,
Thank you for your interest in Montessori education. Here you will find information about our teacher training courses that are held in Boise, Idaho and Livingston, Montana. The two part certification program consists of an academic course and an internship in a CMI affiliated school. Certification is given by the Pan American Montessori Society and optional college credit is available through the University of Montana-Western. Caspari Montessori Institute holds accredited status for its early childhood Montessori teacher certification courses from the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE).
The Caspari Montessori Institute honors our founder, Dr. Elisabeth Caspari, who faithfully and energetically carried around the world for over five decades the message she received directly from her teacher, Dr. Maria Montessori. This Caspari Montessori message continues to inspire our new teachers as they prepare for a life of service to young children.
As a student at Caspari Montessori Institute, you will be preparing for a rewarding career in the field of Montessori preschool education. You will learn Montessori principles and how to apply them to assist each child in his or her own process of physical, social and cognitive development. You will learn how to teach a child to read, write and do math with concrete materials. You will learn how to introduce the world of science, geography, music and art to a young child in a way that each child will be successful and will love learning forever.
More information about the course and the application procedure is right here on the website. You are welcome to print out the forms and submit your application, letter of interest and the $100 application fee for the academic course at any time. Applications are accepted up to a month before the beginning of a new course; however, we recommend that you apply early to assure space in the class. After successful completion of the academic course, you will be welcome to apply for a 9-month internship in an area affiliated Montessori school.
